Multi - Update!

On my absence...
I've been staying away from blogging since my term break started (which is now coming to an end T_T), not because i don't have anything to post, but whenever I want to start I get too emotional and end up not writing. There are times I stare at my screen, thinking how I want to phrase certain things, but the "little-me" inside keeps stopping me from saying it straight. Sometimes I find it hard to trust myself anymore. >_< ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Below are several updates which i will add tomorrow, kinda sleepy now...

JXWars2 Close Beta game review
JXWars2 Voting!!!
Penang Trip (23rd-26th August)
World Cyber Games (27th August)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EVENT! : 3rd September

I'm invited as a JXWars2 contestant, so I will be attending as an audience in a chinese variety show called "Shout Out! It's Saturday Night"! Quite excited at the same time nervous as the whole show is in Mandarin...and i'm a banana-sh...
I hope everything turns out well tomorrow! It's sleep for me now~

Bon Odori 2006 review

(This is a backdated post, been busy catching up with assignments..sorry about that!)

WARNING : RANTINGS AHEAD
(proceed to next paragraph if you rather not hear me rant! ^_^)
I must say that what I expected of this festival...was what I expected indeed! The big crowd, the not-so-surprising EGLs, Bleach cosplayer/s (I saw Ichigo-san posing with lil' kiddies! LOL!!!), J-street fashionistas and of course, the lovely food! I don't mean to demean them (c'mon, you're talking about me here! I'm just as enthusiastic as these people!!!) but to wear them to such a cultural festival??? Bon Odori isn't an event where you go and cosplay your favourite character or show off your newly-bought J-style clothes! Did you know that Bon Odori is similar to "Cheng Beng", as the festival is meant to honour the dead??? Oh nevermind...Ichigo was probably on a lead...he is a shinigami, no?

Anyway, it was my first time attending Bon Odori, and i'm glad i did! I missed last year's one, so I contemplated on forcing myself to attend, by hook or by crook. Although I don't have a yukata to sport, but it was worthwhile attending! It's great when you have good friends to hang out with during the event. Great times are meant to be shared!!! ^w^

For those who don't know what Bon Odori (Urabonne for short) is, it's a Japanese Buddhist cultural festival that honours the departed/anscestors, something similar to the Chinese festival "Cheng Beng", that trip we all make once a year back to our hometown to pray to our anscestors.
(Betcha didn't know that, did 'cha? If you did, here's a cookie! *tosses chocolate chip cookie*)

And here's more to the story of how the dance in Bon Odori came about :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bon_Odori

I greatly indulged in yakisoba, while craftfully pinching some other food from my friends. Haha! (Thank you guys, i love you so much!)

Now, as to lining up for some kakigori(
shaved ice with syrup topping) proved to be futile. After kai, sharrine and I spent 1 1/2 hours lining up with almost no air left to breathe while skipping a little bit of the 3rd dance, we only got milk+ice. The ran out of flavouring and we were 5 people away! Gaah!!! *screams in distressed* And they still charged RM4! Anyhow, we still took it as our thirst was unbearable.
After the dance, our dear zhenpin told us that he spotted new batches of people with milk+ice+flavoured toppings. The unfairness of it all!!!

Ah well, all in all it was an event worthwhile attending! I will definitely attend the next Bon Odori, this time armed with my own water bottle and a camera! I leave you with a picture of me and kai(on the right with the camera in the "ah loong kor"/chinese mafia-styled yukata), taken by my friend adam. Thanks, Adam!

MILO-rific! ^w^

Home dinners are awesome. You get that "home sweet home" feeling, as though you could belong somewhere. For me that is. Though I'd rather prefer not having loud relatives around while you're trying to take apart some crab shells.Home dinners are awesome. You get that "I'm home" feeling, as though you could belong somewhere. For me that is. Though I'd rather prefer not having loud relatives around while you're trying to take apart some crab shells.

relative : BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH...BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH....
ME : *crack* *ping!* (see crab shells flying and hit their faces) *evil grin*

In case you're wondering back there, yes! My family had leftover crab (from a heavy dinner from previous nights..eep!) and we slathered those on some toast! Sorry, I didn't take any pics of it~ I wish I had though, they are just uber yummy!

Later on, me and my sis moved on to our "milo-cicle"...Something we planned the night before.
What we did was we took your ordinary Milo packet, peeled the side tabs up (this is to make removal of the tetra-pak much easier! Learnt from my past experience~ ^_^) and chucked it in the freezer!

Here's the result of it...

My sister later suggested that we put it in popsicle molds the next round. That isn't a bad idea to begin with! That only means one thing - more MILO-RIFIC moments! (Goodness, we should be Milo ambassadors! I'm sure my sis wouldn't mind, we'd be proud to!) Here's leaving you with your host, the mad MILO fanatic~

*EDIT: A BIG thank you to those who told me the pictures weren't showing! I've reposted the pics, so i hope they're up now! Much love to you all!!!
